| Education | | 2011, Graphic Design keene State College | | | About me | When I think about my childhood and early teen years, a lot of my time was spent in acting classes, theater groups and performing on stage. When people would ask me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I had one word ready for them: Actress.
When it came time for college, I was as lost as lost could be as to what I was going to pursue for when I would say I wanted to go to school for acting, I was laughed at and told I would never be able to make it in this world as an actress. If I was the person I am today, I would have told them to pound sand, but as a young, green, high school graduate I needed to make a decision and I knew I needed to find a way to take all the creativity that pumps through my veins and find a way to utilize it, and after a year off of finding myself, I decided I would pursue Graphic Design, Art (minor) and Communications (minor).
I am an extremely creative, energetic, hardworking and FUN thirty-something, who has found herself, though successful, in the wrong line of work. Although I've enjoyed my career as a Graphic Designer with experience in Creative Services, Event Planning, Marketing, Promoter and Project Management, I have found myself yearning to be part of the Production world that made me feel so alive.
As a child, I was experienced with and saw one thing only in my young eyes, and that was acting. I never took a step back to focus on all of the other parts that come together to make a successful production and it wasn't until working for the Manchester Monarchs that it all made sense, I love putting on a show. I love being behind the scenes, working hard on whatever needs to be done to make a successful "show" for our fans and to have them leave feeling greatly satisfied with what they've just experienced.
I realize that I may not have years of recent experience under my belt, but I have the passion and dedication that it takes to make me worth the try! | | | Additional Skills | | creative, crafty, technical, hardworking, fast learner, good at researching, investigative, problem solver, will try anything once | | | Referees | | available upon request | | | Any other information | | Although I have not had hands-on training, my boyfriend is an expert Sound Engineer and Director of Touring for a production company and I have spent the past four years involved in one way or another.
