| Education | | 2006, Theatre California State University, Fullerton | | | About me | I am originally from California where I graduated with a B.A. in Theatre, emphasizing in costume design. I've worked as an assistant designer as well as a costume designer on several downtown theatre productions. I have great organizational skills. I know how to budget my time well. I am used to working in fast paced environments and I have become an expert at diffusing rough situations with my rather wry sense of humor. A professor of mine once said that I am the only one who was able to turn her anger into laughter.
For the last year I have been living the life of a costume shop gypsy in New York, not to be confused with a chorus gypsy, as dancing in a costume shop is extremely dangerous. I've had the opportunity to work on many Broadway shows and learn how things are done here in the East. I am now also working as the sole wardrobe assistant on the off Broadway show, Jump, a martial arts/ comedy show from Korea.
I have excellent machine stitching skills. I have strong knowledge of pattern drafting and draping. I have some wardrobe experience, and can sew on a button in lightening speed. I have also worked with wigs and makeup. However, I consider my work ethic my biggest asset. I am used to working long hours and I don't like to quit until I get things right. I also tend to ask lots of questions to ensure I do the job right the first time, as everyone wants things done a different way and to their specifications. | | | Additional Skills | Computer Programs: MAC and PC, Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop CS2, Adobe Illustrator CS2, Corel Painter 10, VectorWorks 11
