Lawrence works primarily as a freelance Lighting Programmer but also as a Technician, Operator and Designer. Lawrence Graduated from the Central School of Speech and Drama in Summer 2006. Lawrence graduated with a BA (Hons) degree in Theatre Practice where he studied on the Lighting Design strand for three years.

Lawrence's recent work includes work as programmer on a UK/Europe live music tour, work at studios across London and on location for two major films due out in 2012 and a UK touring musical production.

In 2011, Lawrence renewed his IPAF training certification to operate scissor-lift and boom elevated work platforms and plans to attend more courses in 2012.
Lawrence is a specialist user of AutoCAD, WYSIWYG, SketchUp and GrandMA 3D. He has been programming GrandMA lighting consoles for around seven years and regularly carries out training courses in the programming and operation of both GrandMA 1 and GrandMA 2 desks.
Lawrence is an active participant in testing and supporting the development of new GrandMA software with MA Lighting.
Lawrence holds a First Aid certificate, Pyrotechnics safety awareness and Working at Height certificates. He holds public liability insurance through the Production Services Association/Precision Crew Cover and is a member of many associations and unions as listed in this profile.
In part through links with academic institutions, Lawrence actively explores the subject of lighting control and looks at the previous development of lighting systems and how new trends might affect entertainment lighting in the future. Lawrence has, and is continuing to develop skills in advanced lighting control systems and control system scalability.
