About me
I am a highly experienced lighting operator/designer with significant experience in all aspects of technical production gained both in a self-employed and in an employed capacity. I consider myself a valuable team-member with good leadership abilities, proven communication, listening and practical skills. I am known to frequently take control in highly pressurized situations and often find myself being sought out for advice from others in the workforce. I have good problem-solving abilities and work equally well on my own or within a team. I am always looking for new ways to expand my skills and qualifications and am flexible in my approach to my career. I see every opportunity as a challenge to be tackled head-on and embraced. I enjoy being challenged in my work and actively seek to expand my skills base whenever possible. I am particularly experienced in all areas of lighting and am passionate about lighting design/operation with an extensive array of experience in many settings, gained over several years. Having previously completed my HNC in Technical Theatre, I was employed as a solo lighting/sound operator in various capacities before becoming part of the Vision Events team from removed . I am now working on a self-employed basis and looking to by utilize my skills in more challenging roles, which allow me to put my enhanced skills into better use. In recent times I have found myself in an advisory role to project managers on many larger jobs and note that my knowledge and designs have been incorporated in many recent productions. I have an interest in further touring positions.Additional skills:
• Extensive experience in using the all the most up to date lighting desk including but not limited to: Grand MA3 in mode 2 and 3/ Grand MA2, Avolites Sapphire Touch, Arena, Touch II, Quartz, Touch Pro, Tiger Touch, Titan One, Pearl, Pearl expert, Avolites Ai, ETC Gio, ETC Ion, Element.
• Extensive experience in using most Sound desks including but not limited to Yamaha Digital desks and small Analog desks.
• Extensive experience in using switchers including but not limited to Analog Way Pulse II/ Puse I/OPS300 /Eikos 2/Di-Ventix/Di-Ventix II/Analog Way Ascender 32-4K/Analog Way NeXtage
• Rig/Operate/Derig LED walls such as Stealth /Imposa /Absen
• Extensive rigging/de-rigging experience including use of both MEWP’s and ladders
• IPAF licenser holder 3a 3b
• I have recently passed thought the Avolites Titan Academy and am now an Endorsed Avolites Titan Programmer.
• Warehouse operations/day-to-day Warehouse Maintenance
• Clean UK/EU Driving License
• Good communication skills (Expanded through several years of voluntary coaching and through work within this Industry)
• Effective planning skills and good time management skills
• Proven leadership abilities
