I utilised my skills in the production manager role for the permanent interactive experience built for Sky at the O2. The aim of this installation was to communicate key product benefits of the new Sky Q box through play. I was a part of the team from the initial brief, material selection, fabrication to the final installation.
My role required management of the budget, multiple designs and all third-party interactions. I was required to handle the plans, approving CAD and technical drawings, working alongside the carpenter and painter ensure a premium finish on all final pieces. We had to adhere to particularly strict Fire regulations, which required that I complete and submit full RA-MS for all 3rd parties and oversee the onsite build.
The key to this installation was that all the items connected like a puzzle, and once locked together the structure is robust and stable.
As the integrated producer for this builds my role was to ensure that the client team, digital interactives and the overall fabrication worked cohesively and seamlessly, this involved managing a large crew, working with the onsite AEG team and ensuring that the client received the very best when we were complete.

Additional information:
I fell in love with designing, creating and making entirely by chance. When I started at university, I had this plan to take on the psychology world and study criminals. I soon discovered that my high school love for the theatre was my real passion, so I changed my degree and never looked back.
It was while creating a single comic that I discovered the world of design; this comic lead me on to four years of studying set and costume design, during which I worked on my various levels of design and production skills. I learnt how to draw costumes, create technical drawings, build paper and scale models, fabricate set pieces, imagine environments and finally design and construction of costumes.
Part of my course requirement was to create costumes for a site-specific theatrical production. I took the lead from the initial brief, fabric choice, fabrication (sewing, hand stitching and embellishment), fitting and finally makeup and hair. I liaised with wardrobe, the stage manager, director and performers to create pieces that worked in the very physical production, but also stayed within budget and met the brief. Since then I have worked on some smaller design based projects, with my focus shifting more to production management than set and costume design.
Shortly after I joined onedotzero, my role changed to a hybrid role of studio and production manager, managing crews on the installations of the multiple Sky events. All subsequent projects for onedotzero have required that I balance working with various parties to engage and monitor all outside contractors, to develop a critical eye for detail ensuring that each reinstallation keeps to the original design and fabrication. I have learnt to manage budgets for large-scale projects, submitting and maintaining all Health and safety documentation for external contractors and our in-house team.
I understand that I may not have the most extensive knowledge of every paint technique, how to build the perfect spiral staircase or what the best way to finish a corset might be, but I am quick to learn and have adapted and taught myself many skills. I have managed large scale installations of complicated builds for big name brands.
My passion is production management, and I am proud to say that I am an excellent production manager, who can adapt to different situations. I have experience in sewing, embellishing and dying clothing. I am particularly fond of creating scale models, and I have the technical expertise that makes me a viable candidate for this position. I am willing and open to learning because I recognise this is an incredible opportunity not only to be a part of a fantastic company but to create pieces of art that take people`s breath away.
Over the past few years, I have improved my organisational skills, remained ever punctual and maintained my uncanny ability to balance multiple projects at any given time. I am proud of the production manager I have become, and I hope that my passion comes across in this profile.
