I've been lucky in that I have learnt through experience and haven't had to go back to college. I did start out with a degree in dance though!

Question 9: How important is working for free at the beginning of your career?
Only for a very short time and once you have actually left college you should endeavour to get paid as otherwise no one will ever pay you and then you still never get any experience. the only work that i didn't get paid for was with the national youth music theatre as an ASM, but this gave me enough experience to get my first paid job.
