What does a theatre administrator do?
Administrators allow other members of staff to complete their jobs by completing vital, but often prohibitive, tasks. Administrators are excellent communicators and multi-taskers who work extremely well under pressure in order to juggle paperwork with telephone calls with event organisation and anything else that crops up over the course of a busy day in a theatre or production company office. Administrators might report to the Theatre Manager
, General Manager
or Administrative Director
. Possible career progression include Administrative Director
, Production Manager
and Events Manager
or Theatre Manager
